53rd Annual Washington University Kilo Diabetes Symposium

The 53rd Annual Washington University Kilo Diabetes Symposium is planned and implemented interprofessionally by physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, diabetes educators, and pharmacists. This two-day symposium is designed for endocrinologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, internists, hospitalists, family and general practice physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and diabetes educators, and may also be of interest to physician assistants, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals who care for patients with adrenal, reproductive, or metabolic disorders. The course will provide evidence-based updates on adrenal evaluation and treatment, hormone replacement therapy, obesity management, diabetes technologies, lipid disorders, diagnosis and management of common and atypical forms of diabetes, and the relationships between heart and kidney disorders. Education will be delivered through case-based lectures and interactive question-and-answer sessions that emphasize practical application of current evidence to clinical practice. Because optimal management of endocrine and metabolic disorders requires collaboration across professions and specialties, the symposium features a multidisciplinary faculty from The Division of Endocrinology at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The goal of this activity is to enhance participants' knowledge, clinical decision-making, performance, and patient care.

Course Information:  Wednesday night prior to the course, an email with directions to the online syllabus and onsite information will be sent to the email address utilized to register for the event.

Location: Eric P. Newman Education Center (EPNEC), 320 S. Euclid Ave., St. Louis, Missouri 63110.  It is recommended that you bring a jacket or sweater as meeting room temperatures are difficult to regulate to everyone's preference.
