Overview
Washington University Glomerular Disease Symposium is planned and implemented by physicians. This live in-person activity is designed for practicing nephrologists and nephrology trainees, and may be of interest to rheumatologists, internal medicine physicians, advanced healthcare practitioners and nephrology nurses. This 12-hour live course will provide education through lectures, case presentations, panel discussions, and question & answer sessions. The activity will highlight best practices across renal diseases. The goal of this activity is to enhance knowledge, skillsstrategy, performance, and patient care. Describe disease mechanisms, diagnosis, and management of glomerular diseases associated with cancer and cancer treatments2. Recognize the spectrum of monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance (MGRS) and define diagnostic approaches and optimal treatment options3. Discuss the genetic basis, pathological features, and classification of Alport syndrome, and familiarize with the current clinical trials in Alport syndrome4. Summarize recent advances in pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, ANCA-associated glomerulonephritis, and C3 glomerulopathy.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge and clinical skills in diagnosing and managing glomerular diseases associated with cancer and cancer treatments, leading to improved patient outcomes through accurate identification of disease mechanisms, timely diagnosis, and effective therapeutic strategies.
  2. Recognize the spectrum of monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance (MGRS) and apply appropriate diagnostic approaches and optimal treatment options to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  3. Explain the genetic basis, pathological features, and classification of Alport syndrome, and evaluate current clinical trials to enhance understanding and management of the disease in patients.
  4. Summarize recent advances in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, ANCAassociated glomerulonephritis, and C3 glomerulopathy to improve clinical decisionmaking and patient outcomes.
