Pulmonary Hypertension Conference – Friday, September 26, 2025
This Pulmonary Hypertension Conference is designed for pulmonologists, cardiologists, intensivists, rheumatologists, hematologists, hospitalists, radiologists, thoracic surgeons, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals.  This will be of interest to practitioners who evaluate and manage pulmonary hypertension patients.  This 6.75-hour live course will provide education through plenary lectures, breakout sessions, case presentations, panel discussions and question & answer sessions.  The activity will highlight best practices across the spectrum of pulmonary hypertension disorders. 


Venous Thromboembolic Conference – Saturday, September 27, 2025
Venous Thromboembolic Conference is designed for pulmonologists, critical care physicians, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, hematologists, emergency room physicians, cardiac surgeons, hospitalists and primary care physicians, nurses and pharmacists. This may also be of interest to others who care for venous thromboembolic patients. This 6.5-hour live course will provide education through lectures, case presentations, panel discussions, question & answer sessions. The activity will highlight best practices across the spectrum of venous thromboembolic diseases and its long term sequalae.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Accurately diagnose pulmonary hypertension based on contemporary hemodynamic definitions and PH classifications.
  2. Interpret the critical diagnostic studies which will lead to accurate diagnosis.
  3. Identifying PH patients that would benefit from being treated by expert centers, while ensuring appropriate management of more commonly encountered Group 2 and 3 PH.
  4. Apply contemporary risk assessment tools and treatment algorithm for Group 1 PH patients, including prostacyclin pathway activators and activin signal inhibitor.
  5. Formulate a comprehensive treatment approach for patients with Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and group 2 PH, including therapies to improve dysregulated metabolism.
  6. Recognize when PH develops in the backdrop of ILDs and determine who are candidates for inhaled vasodilator therapy.
  7. Diagnose chronic thromboembolic pulmonary disease after acute venothromboembolic disease and assess factors that differentiate between surgical and medical interventions.
  8. Diagnose chronic thromboembolic pulmonary disease after acute venothromboembolic disease and assess factors that differentiate between surgical and medical interventions.
  9. Analyze the latest evidence based guidelines for the diagnosis and management of pulmonary embolism, including risk stratification and therapeutic decision making.
  10. Apply appropriate risk assessment tools to guide anticoagulation selection and determine the need for advanced interventions in patients with acute pulmonary embolism.
  11. Develop an approach to implementing a multidisciplinary Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) model to optimize VTE management and patient outcomes.
  12. Evaluate the role of various imaging modalities in the diagnosis and follow up of pulmonary embolism to ensure timely and accurate decision making.
  13. Recommend appropriate long-term management strategies, including anticoagulation duration, risk factor modification, and follow-up planning for patients with acute and chronic VTE.
  14. Implement structured protocols for screening, diagnosing, and managing highrisk VTE patients, integrating AIdriven tools where applicable to improve clinical outcomes and reduce complications.
