Topics include emerging mechanisms of IBD pathogenesis, advanced imaging and biomarker-driven monitoring, microbiome and dietary interventions, and novel therapeutic targets. Keynote presentations and research-focused sessions aim to bridge the gap between laboratory discoveries and clinical application.

Day 2: 8th Annual IBD Multidisciplinary Conference
This day emphasizes practical, evidence-based strategies for clinical management of IBD. Sessions include therapeutic sequencing, perioperative and postoperative care, management of complex cases, and integration of nutrition and lifestyle interventions. Interactive panels and case-based discussions foster collaboration among gastroenterologists, surgeons, dietitians, and allied health professionals.


The 2nd Annual IBD Research Symposium and 8th Annual IBD Multidisciplinary Conference is planned and implemented interprofessionally by physicians and nurses. The 2nd Annual IBD Research Symposium and 8th Annual IBD Multidisciplinary Conference, planned interprofessionally, targets gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, nurses, imaging specialists, dieticians, and researchers. This 14-hour live course features lectures, case presentations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions addressing critical gaps in IBD management and understanding, informed by current clinical trends and research. The goal is to enhance knowledge, skills, strategies, performance, and patient care. Together, these events deliver a unique opportunity for clinicians, researchers, and multidisciplinary teams to gain actionable insights, share best practices, and collaborate to improve outcomes for patients with IBD.


ACCME Objectives
  1. Apply evidence based strategies for sequencing and combining therapies in UC and Crohns disease.
  2. Utilize advanced imaging and biomarker tools for precision disease monitoring.
  3. Identify predictors of postoperative Crohns disease recurrence and apply risk based management strategies and implement best practices for perioperative medication management and postoperative care.
  4. Integrate dietary and microbiome based interventions into IBD treatment plans.
  5. Address metabolic and systemic comorbidities in IBD through multidisciplinary approaches.
  6. Translate emerging research on pathogenesis and novel therapeutics into clinical decision making.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. The learning objectives emphasize applying evidence-based strategies, interpreting advanced imaging and biomarkers, and integrating research into practice. Case-based discussions and interactive panels allow participants to practice decision-making and problem-solving in realistic scenarios, reinforcing competence and performance goals.
