Overview

The 2026 Missouri Sleep Society Conference is planned and implemented through an interprofessional collaboration of dentists, physicians, sleep technologists, and nurses. This activity is designed for these healthcare professionals specializing in sleep medicine, neurology, pediatrics, family practice, internal medicine, orthodontics, and dental sleep medicine, and may also be of interest to respiratory therapists. This 12 hour conference delivers education through lectures with dedicated time for questions and discussion. Content highlights best practices in scoring and staging, advanced PAP titration, weight management, sleep lab emergencies, and pediatric sleep medicine. Additional topics include circadian rhythms and cognitive function, mandibular advancement devices, hypoglossal nerve stimulation comparisons, and insomnia treatments including CBT and medications with associated side effects. The goal of this activity is to enhance knowledge, skills, clinical strategies, performance, and patient outcomes.

  1. Formulate comprehensive, patient centered treatment plans for adult and pediatric patients using current guidelines.
  2. Collaborate effectively across disciplines to enhance care coordination, address sleep lab challenges, and improve patient outcomes.
